The odeonsplatz is a large square in central munich which was developed in the early 19th century by leo von klenze and is at the southern end of the ludwigstrasse developed at the same time.

You can climb take elevator to top of either town hall tower to get a panoramic view of city. Been here almost every days during my holiday in munich from dec to jan 2016. Marienplatz is the old town square and is worth a visit specially to see the imposing structure with detailed architecture in the center of the town square.

Marienenplatz is the central hub of old munich with the u and s bahn access which will get you to the airport as well as around munich and outlying areas. I immediately loved marienplatzs vibrant energy derived from the shopping and restaurants lining its perimeter plus the historic buildings that stately stood in the square. The square is named for the former concert hall the odeon on its northwestern side.

Hotel is nice clean and comfortable a 3 hotel. Marienplatz square is the focal point of munichs city center. Marienenplatz opens out to shopping restaurant and cultural areas so well worth a visit.
